Smith, AIF®, to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Dallas, Texas, according to Kirk Bell, Central regional director for the RJFS Independent Contractor Division. The advisors join Raymond James from Wells Fargo, where they previously managed approximately $587 million in client assets and $385 million in institutional assets under advisement. Collectively, the WPA team manages approximately $835 million in private client assets and has $385 million in institutional assets under advisement. Additional WPA team members include Jennifer Gaskin, WPA director of operations and RJFS office manager, Lindsey Heyman, WPA vice president and RJFS advisor, Courtney Andring, client service manager, and Lauren Thompson, client service associate.
“Once we made the decision to be independent and visited the firm’s home office, we knew Raymond James was the best partner for us going forward,” said McBee, founding partner of Wealth Partners Alliance and RJFS wealth advisor. “We believe that for us to continue to build on our team culture and to run a practice that we can all be proud of, being independent and launching WPA was our best option. Raymond James offers us all the resources and technology we need to do that. And while many firms offer technology tools, Raymond James’ platform truly puts the advisor and our relationship with our clients at the very center of it all. They build their systems to help us serve our clients. Since transitioning, it has already been apparent, as home office interactions are extremely helpful and collaborative. We’re pleased to be affiliated with Raymond James and look forward to our continued partnership with the firm.”
McBee has over 20 years of financial services experience as an advisor at Wells Fargo. WPA founding partner and RJFS wealth advisor Mikeska has been in financial services for more than 28 years and has worked at firms including Prudential, Wachovia and Wells Fargo. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and a Certified Investment Management Analyst™. Peschel, WPA founding partner and RJFS wealth advisor, has been in the industry for more than 23 years and has spent the bulk of his career at Wells Fargo. The four partners previously worked together as a team at Wells Fargo.
“We welcome the advisors and professionals at Wealth Partners Alliance to Raymond James and are pleased that they chose us as their partner as they continue to grow,” said Bell. “We continue to hear that the technology and extensive support at Raymond James are among several differentiating factors for advisors, and we’re proud to provide such a unique offering that continues to attract quality financial advisor teams like WPA.”
