Raymond James welcomes Alabama advisor duo managing approximately $130 million

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Joseph “Joey” Cobb and Andrew Burns to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel ­– in Birmingham, Alabama, according to Gregg Stupinski, South Atlantic region director for RJA.

The advisors arrive from Cetera Investment Services where they managed approximately $130 million in client assets. As Cobb Burns & Associates Wealth Management of Raymond James, they offer a customized approach to wealth management for a diverse range of clients including families and individuals, healthcare professionals, business owners and those in or nearing retirement.

“My goal has always been to help families feel confident about their future while pursuing the opportunities that matter most to them,” said Cobb, vice president of Investments. “Raymond James gives me the ability to do that with a comprehensive approach backed by strong planning tools and a client-first culture.”

Cobb transitioned to being a financial advisor in 2011 after nine years in mortgage banking. Most recently, he served at Cetera Investment Services for six years, and he specializes in long-term financial strategies using portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning and cash management. His experience is backed by a bachelor’s degree from Troy University.

Burns joins Raymond James after three years with Cetera Investment Services. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in business.
